More issues...

Young people go through so many things, so many feelings that they have never experienced before, yesterday in class I had to do a timeline of my life and document significant moments. The experinces that I really remembered I can look back on now and wonder why I worried so much, most of them weren't that big a deal. But thats the point, its a big deal at the time, it seemed like the end of the world like things would never be good again, it changed how I looked at things, an it didn't help when adults would brush it off as if it was nothing. Little things to me may be huge life changing things to someone else...something to think about. I am just really loving the key issues class. We were given a label and told to really think what it would be like to be that person. It was so challenging to get in that frame of mind. A real eye opener...

Listening...

Another interesting day at Uni, we learned all about listening skills and we did some really funny listening exercises that I really did enjoy it. I love it, we are constantly moving around which keeps me alert and awake, I hate sitting there for ages just writing what teachers say. It is nothing like 6 form. I think this course is going to work out...

A rainy Tuesday...

The traffic was rubbish this morning so I was badly late. We did some personality test which was interesting, I am apparently a realist. I still don't quite know what a realist is, the bbc website made it seem like a quite boring person in comparison to the other things you could be...big thinker...performer...mastermind...mine just didn't really seem that interesting. Everyone in our class had good ones, nevermind I should probably just accept it.
We then had a tutorial with Rich and we discussed muslim youth work. It was awesome to see what people thought on the matter, it also helped cause I got to see how passionate people were about Christian Youth Work.
After lunch we had all the Theology stuff which as usual was very exciting. I really like the seminar guded study person we have, he seems so willing to help us...which is always a plus. All in all it was a good day!

"Issues!"

Todays been good, I left the house 10 minutes earlier than usual an the traffic wasn't that bad so I was early for uni, usually I arrive just in time so that was a nice relaxed start to the day. Uni was extremely interesting today, we had Dot and we were discussing and being taught in the ways of "Key issues in Youth Work" it started nice and easy but then we all started to discuss things more specifically and more seriously, it got pretty intense as we all so different which is cool as I get to hear so many different views and see what aspects of the course people are really passionate about...I look forward to so many more discussions with my fellow classmates, everyone is really nice. It just feels comfortable, which is good obviously. I just hope I don't offend any of them. Right I better go read the million pages of that theology book...woo cannot wait!

My official first "blog"

So, I have started university. I didn't think it would ever happen yet on the open day I just knew it was for me. It was quite scary the first week all the fresher stuff, it wasn't really my thing I just wanted the course to get started. I really liked the two days I got to spend with my teachers an class, that made me feel very comfortable. This week we started all the modules, I really like most of it, the Theology is very informational, theres so much to take in and most of it is fairly...boring. No not boring, just not as interesting as the youth work stuff, but I'm obviously going to like that more as thats what I love and want to do with my life. It'll take time to get use to the theology stuff but it'll be fine...I hope.

This blogging is quite strange, writing down what I think so people can see it...very strange.

My first posting. I am not sure what I'm meant to write as I was forced into creating this blog, not forced...encouraged by my very interesting teacher at uni. To be honest I'm not really sure what a blog even is. So for now this is all I will write, I will nose around other blogs and see what they put to get some ideas.
